Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British sitarist and musician. She won the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. Alongside nine Grammy nominations, she was also the first musician of Indian origin to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. The first few years of her life were spent between London and New Delhi. Her first performance took place at New Delhi when she was only 13 years old. At the age of 13, she finished her high school education at Encinitas CA. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording record. Her father was with her to numerous performances over several years. She released her first single album Anourag in 1998. Two years later she released the Grammy nominated Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. Apart from performing in many of the biggest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't only a singer. Bapi The Love of My Life is an illustrated biographie that she composed in 2002. It is a tribute to her late father Ravi Shankar. Also, she appeared in the film "Dance Like a Man" in 2003. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent a lot of her childhood in London and Delhi later relocating to California in the state where she attended high school.
